Koko-aio shader discussions and updates

One question please, if I wanted to make the colors a little stronger, less clear, on which shader value should I act? A thousand thanks

If you mean more saturation, you have three choices: saturation, luminance, or even higher halo strength.

edit: if by “clear” you mean “washed out”, you may need to increase gamma.

3.5 available now via Retroarch’s online update.

Awesome work on v3.5

I’m able to load every one of the shaders on the main folder. When I try the shaders in the ‘Presets’ folder I get the fail to load message. Any ideas for me to try?

thx

you may need to reorder them a bit then, apply crt-universal before the bezel pass

there is no “preset” folder:

my guess is that you downloaded koko-aio manually and things got mixed up when you did the online updater.

Could it be that?

Still need to correct the aspect a bit, but it should be in git soon, if you want to try.

Yeah, just have to figure out where in the existing 17 passes that happens. Wish retroarch had an easier interface to drag/drop shader passes.

@kokoko3k Absolutely beautiful. How can I add different overlays and textures from other developers?

Looking good…can you post here when it has been uploaded please?

Thanks for your work.

Great ! Thanks kokoko3k, but is it already available on Git ? I found everything updated to 2 days ago, so I’ll try it right away

Just added a not in the first post on where to download in-development shaders.

@ROBMARK85: Yup.

@Starman99x: See this post; basically you pick an image, make an hole in it and ogame content will be visible. In the koko-aio shader “texture/” directory, there is a png made that way, named: background_over.png, just replace it with your work.
The main settings you need to enable are “Bezel enable=1, Background image enable=1, and Background image over content=1”.
…then tweak curvature too.

I’m sorry, could you send me a link?

I just tried it on a PC which they lent me (it’s not even 1080p) since I’m not at home so I can’t use mine. Anyway it’s really nice and thank you, the only drawback is that it seems to me that you cut the image down a bit, I don’t know if it’s a problem related to this PC.

You have to adapt the setting to use that bezel, just lower “Image zoom” in Bezel section. Also, that resolution is really too low for the scanlines to be displayed well, maybe tweaking some settings could improve that “weavy” effect you notice on solid backgrounds, i don’t know.

This PC is a piece of prehistory, I just wanted to try your setting right away since I get home tonight and I don’t know if I had a chance to try it. Surely everything is due to the low resolution of the PC and in any case I saw the presence of the zoom option at this moment. Thank you so much for this opzione and for your work. I’m curious and it’s stronger than me, I have to ask you: what plans do you have in the future for this shader? You are already at the top in terms of video quality / performance requirements

…keep tweaking as long as ideas cross my mind, sorry for not being more specific :stuck_out_tongue:

So you leave me on tenterhooks  Anyway this is already the top, thanks always for your contribution and your work.
