Lakka 2.0 full release?

This page is stating Lakka, so maybe http://retrorgb.com/rpi240p.html

Just wish Lakka could scan mame roms correctly.

Maybe it can reference a Dat/xml file for mame rom scans?

that’s a great idea!

Yeah you just need the right romset.

And @15khzcrt 240p works now on RC4.

I already tried the RC4 on my Raspberry Pi 3. It seems to work slower than the previous versions. It feels quite laggish sometimes and the input lag its grater for me. Im currently using a wii U pro controller via bluetooth. The 2.0 release will fix that?

The RC4 can’t be slower than the RC3, we didn’t change enough things for that. Maybe you changed something like the power wire?

Nope, im using the exact same power supply from around 6 moths. Since RC3 I felt it running slower on the menu interface. I even turned on the FPS and it runs between 23 and 30fps on the menu, when I launch a game it goes up to almost 60fps. I will try to change the SD card this evening to test it out. I installed everything on another SD so I didn’t mess with my previous configuration, Im creating an image for my knowing working SD card and installed there.

For me, RC4 on RPi3 does 50 FPS in the menu.

I did a quick test and I felt this too, mostly in the menu. I Have not verified with FPS checks comparing with the stable release.

As a follow up, I did quick tests in the menu and got:

  • RC4 gets 50 FPS on the RPi3, as expected, with very little variance (not extensively tested).
  • The stable release (Christmas 2016) runs at around 55 FPS, sometimes gets to 60 and sometimes dips to 50.

This would explain the (minor) difference in perception for me. In conclusion, at least for me this is a non-issue.

RC5 is available, please test it.

i tested on x86 machine and it works, wha’s new in RC5?

Here is the news about RC5.

RC5, raspberry Pi 3, No audio through HDMI. even with hdmi_drive=2 having the # removed. Also Handy runs like lightning. Not sure what to try next since the audio says it’s enabled in the settings once started up.

Did you try to change audio device ?

Yes, I have, it doesn’t list any available, going through SSH only lists Null.

It worked with the current setup previously with Dec2016 update.

Are you using NOOBS?

Nope, straight install. Lakka is the only thing on this SD card.

Did you upgrade from Dec 2016 install or did a fresh install?

Upgraded from the Dec 2016 using the tar file, also deleted the Retroarch.cfg to be sure, but to no avail.
