Lakka 32 bits upadates?

Hi folks!

I haven’t used Lakka for a while but recently I upgraded my RAM from 1GB to 2 GB on my old laptop. I ran Lakka to upgrade it and found out that it is still the same version of 32 bits I was using some months ago.

Are updates being released for the 32 bits version?

Also, while I noticed improvement from the RAM upgrade on my Linux Lite OS 32 bits, I did not find any improvement on Lakka 32 bits running from USB! I tested some PSP games I like and the performance is the same! Shouldn’t it be better with the RAM upgrade?

Last question is, should I be running Lakka 64 bits (from USB boot) instead of 32 bits? My CPU is 64 bits capable although it was shipped with 32 bits BIOS back in 2007.

Thanks

I don’t think Lakka has had any major version bumps in a few months, so no real surprise that it’s still the same one you used before.

Yes, you should go to 64-bit if possible.

RAM doesn’t really do a whole lot for RetroArch performance. As long as you have enough to load the games, it doesn’t really come into play very often. You can increase your rewind buffer if you want…

Thank you for your answer.

I will make a bootable USB with Lakka 64 bits and test it.

“You can increase your rewind buffer if you want” Will that increase game performance? Most PSP games stutter and crackle and run slow, some don’t run at all.

Nope. it’ll just let you rewind further. (I don’t think ppsspp rewinds at all, actually, as IIRC its savestates are like 100MB each)

Made the 64bits bootable USB. Lakka loads well but games appears slower… I mimic the same config I have in the 32bits version.

Other thing, will this USB work on my Windows 10(64bits) laptop?
