Lakka For OpenElec

I have in the past been using Lordashrams build of RA for OpenElec as he seems to be the only person supporting the OpenElec platform and just wondered if there is an ‘Addon’ for Kodi/IOpenElec or getting Lakka on OpenElec whilst still keeping the Kodi interface.

Is Lakka the same as RA in performance?, for example anything that is included and works in RA will work the same for Lakka (give that the hardware used is up to the task)?

Lakka is just the name for OpenElec+RetroArch.

So is there a way to still go back to the Kodi UI so i can watch movies?

I think some people have done it, but I don’t know the details. Look around on this subforum and make a new topic asking that question if you can’t find anything about it.

So is Lakka the same version as RA or is it a earlier version? Be good if it was possible to get Lakka as just an ‘Add-On’ for installation on Kodi, is that possible at all?

Hello, the Lakka we provide is without KODI. We just replaced KODI by RetroArch. Maintaining KODI on all those boards (allwinner for example) is too much work for us. I would prefer to see an hardware accelerated ffmpeg core instead (if possible).
