Lakka Generic PC x64 upgrade 2.2 to 2.3 botched

Initial upgrade went from 2.2 x64 to 2.3 without a hitch.

Upon turning off lakka and starting from a cold boot it has wiped out my assets folder and a spartan menu is in its place. Online updater has no option to download the missing assets.

All other files including configuration seem to be present but no way to bring it back to a usable state.

Beware.

Reset your RetroArch config, we advised to do so in the release article

assets_directory = “/tmp/assets”

fixes the issue in retroarch.cfg

I always find myself need to do a clean install, which is especially true for Lakka 2.3.1. due to the “large” amount of core updates.
