Lakka, getting started... read the guide, no SNES icon appears after scanning games..

Hi,

I’ve read the guide and done everything, i put a snes rom into \mylakkamachine\Roms\ root folder and hit “scan this folder” on the lakka interface, i see the yellow text that it finds the new games, yet… there’s no new menu…

I only have the basic 3 menus you start out with , no snes…

Also i have a question regarding the cores… the help file says you have to load a core in order for lakka to do anything, i hit “enter” on the snes core thingy, it jumps back to the first menu and nothing happens, i try start core, nothing happens…

What have i missed here? Isn’t this suppose to be rather easy or am i experiencing a bug? I’ve re-installed lakka 3 times now with no success.

Edit: running on a skylake nuc with m2 drive if that matters

edit: again, dropped a ton of more snes games into roms and some of them appear but most of them don’t… when i run them i get the lakka icon for a little bit then it jumps back to the main lakka screen.

edit: here’s a video of how it looks: https://vid.me/AorU most roms don’t even appear, the ones that do appear don’t work, they all work using emulator on my pc.

It does not look like you are using a torrentzipped set of No-Intro ROMs for SNES which is what the playlist scanner will recognize:

“Game ROMs must be placed in subfolders within the roms folder. Generally, ROMs should be zipped, except for CD images”

“The most successful approach to adding ROMs to Lakka is to use ROM sets that have been validated by software like ClrMamePro or ROMVault. These programs can check a collection of ROMs against the same database of ROMs that are used by the playlist generator. Information about which databases to use to validate ROMs can be found in the table below.”

torrentzipping shouldn’t be necessary for most things. My no-intro SNES games are picked up fine and they’re raw sfc.

Does the playlist generator use the CRC of the file within the ZIP rather than the ZIP itself?

I had assumed that processing through TZ would be necessary to get the CRCs the same.
