LAKKA Installation issues on PC (Culprit: Win32DiskImager)

If anyone is quite frustrated as to why, after you burn the LAKKA USB image onto a flash drive using Win32DiskImager, it won’t boot on your Intel based PC, here is what I found.
After many tries, I realized the problem was not with the flash drive, the image, or my hardware. It’s the way the image is burned onto the flash drive.

  • Win32DiskImager does not work (at least in my situation) even though the official Lakka directions state to use it.
  • I used the following tool instead which worked on the first try: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/usb_image_tool.html (USB Image Tool 1.7.4.0 )
  • Hope that helps for anyone that has given up

I was wondering if you could help me out? I’m not sure how to even start a new discussion but here goes. I have a desktop computer with a wireless adapter that needs software to be installed to work. My internet comes from the hotspot on my phone because I live by the mountain so there aren’t any internet providers that come out here. I’m trying to add my games that I have on my other desktop onto this one because I installed LAKKA on this one. I keep hearing about SSH but I don’t think I can do that without internet.

@jmp4me you may try with Etcher or Rufus.

@Coheedtheslayer Did you try to connect to your wifi ?

When I installed LAKKA , it wiped out the drivers for the wireless adapter
