Lakka & Lenovo q150

I recently installed Lakka and a Lenovo Q150 that a friend gave me. However, Lakka cannot seem to find my HDMI audio device or my ethernet controller. They worked on Windows, however they do not seem to be functional.

I tried to hit ‘tab’ while booting to get allow me to edit the command line, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I would try other options, but again, no working ethernet controller.

I am using the newest Lakka,64-bit as posted 11-26-2015. I tried to use 32-bit as well but it was the same.

Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Hmm. You may need to modprobe the e100 module, as per: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1647793

but that’s going to be tough if you don’t have any network access in the first place for SSH… Do you have any USB wifi adapters, by chance?

That bootloader problem is really annoying. We need to understand how to configure it properly.

Thanks for the suggestions. I remembered I have a USB to ethernet dongle and was able to use that to do what I needed to get everything up and running.

I also found this quite helpful: http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3531

The above information, along with the existing documentation allowed me to work it out. Maybe it could be included somewhere in the documentation where new users may find it.

I’m glad that you found a solution for this network issue.

Something is missing here? http://www.lakka.tv/doc/Audio-settings/

While it may seem straight forward to someone who is extremely familiar with the workings of Linux distros, it was not quite forthcoming for someone relatively new.

The information is there, but I am sure there has been more than one person that had an audio (or other issue) and went straight to “audio settings” (or other section) rather than reading the entire documentation. I am also at fault for this as well. However, some recommended link pointers for related sections could be beneficial for newer users.

As I said, I managed to get everything up pretty quickly, with only two hurdles that could be easily overcome. I had my box completely set up (roms and all) within a few hours - even with the hurdles. And THAT couldn’t have been as easily done without the documentation already in place.

Again, thanks for all your help and suggestions.
