Lakka Monitor Output Only Shows Lakka Flower

I know there have been other questions asked about this topic, but their solutions aren’t working for me. I have an HP laptop with VGA and HDMI ports on it, and I can only get the Lakka flower with terminal output to show up on my external VGA or HDMI monitor. I tried manually changing the monitor index in the config file as outlined here from 0 all the way up to six, stopping and restarting retroarch each time, and nothing - I can only get the built in laptop screen to show something on monitor index == 0 or 1. My VGA monitor does appear to be recognized however as you can see in the attached screenshot of my ssh terminal output. I plugged it in, ran the command, unplugged it, ran the command again. Any other ideas as to how to get game video output via the monitors?

Okay, I finally figured it out. It seems kind of lonely on these forums, but I’ll still write down my solution just in case anyone else needs help with this. I had to blindly SSH into my Lakka install, guessing the IP address since it seems to change depending on which computer I plug it into. Then I manually changed the retroarch config file by changing the monitor index to two, and then lowering the output resolution to 640x480. For some reason, the higher resolution of the output was the problem apparently.
