Lakka on Intel NUC (with Openelec & Windows): which distribution should I use?

Hello everyone,

I have an Intel Nuc with dual boot: Windows 7 and Openelec. Works like a charm, thanks to the EasyBCD software. I would like to boot on Lakka, but don’t know whick distribution I should download. I’ve try 5 minutes ago the “pc” boot and install from a USB drive, but I had to stop the install process as it wipes all my drive during the install. I’m looking for a version where I can choose the partition to install Lakka.

Any idea?

Thanks

Dual booting isn’t officially supported; there’s probably ways to do it but it won’t be easy. Might be easier if you were to install Lakka first, then the other OSes, but a bit late for that now.

Alternatively, you could always just use a live USB to boot Lakka.

Thanks a lot for your reply. What a shame, It would be great to have this feature. My Nuc works like a charl with OpenElec and Windows on it. I will not - for the moment- format everything. I will keep the USB option, but, again, what a pity. Do you know if there’s something plan in the future for this?

By the way, 1979 is the best year.

I have nothing to do with 1979, not actually sure why I picked that number for my username. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I don’t really know what the dev’s plans are. It’s hard enough to get answers out of them in regards to technical problems - can’t remember the last time I got an answer to one - let alone trying to find out about future plans. Sure, I get that they’re busy and they do this as a spare time project and so can’t always address everything, but you’d think they could at least give some kind of response, even if its’ just to say “we’re not sure what can be done about that”…
