LAKKA on Raspberry Pi B+ - easy questions

Hey everyone,

I got my first Raspberry Pi in the mail last night and installed LAKKA on an SD card. Works perfectly so far, but I have two easy questions as this is my first time with a Linux based OS.

My gamepad doesn’t work with the system, but I noticed that they have a cfg for it on GitHub (Logitech F310). What directory should I place that in LAKKA? That’s all I have to do and restart and it should recognize it?

Also, dumb question, but how do I turn the thing off without unplugging it and risking damaging the OS?

Thanks a lot for the help! Vlad.

EDIT : See below. Thanks Kivutar

Hello VladiPHD, please use a nightly build from here, it supports the F310. http://sources.lakka.tv/nightly/

Unplugging the RPi2 can cause a bug where retroarch config file is corrupted, and you will end up with the old rgui menu. If this happens, you will have to reflash or suppress that corrupted config file.

Thanks Kivutar! I’ll try that build tonight. I understand that unplugging the RPi (I have the first one, B+, not 2) can cause damage. But how do I turn it off safely without unplugging?

And I finally understood how GitHub works too so my first question sounded kind of dumb haha. Thanks for the help.

Hi Vladi, the nightly build have a menu entry to shutdown properly. Yeah, Lakka is still under development. I would say it is bêta software for now, and will stay for some monthes.

Worked like a charm! I was able to change to a custom background too. Really awesome work with this, thanks again!
