I’m new with lakka and i don’t manage to set it up on my very old rig.
My spec :
AMD Sempron 2400+ Motherboard MS7061 1 Go RAM 80 HDD Integrated VIA GPU
Problem : When i’m booting with my flashdrive the choice screen appears and whatever i chose (live or installation) the loading screen with the little flower get stuck, no responce from my computer.
Can you help me ?

There is another thread open with a similar problem. The problem is probably that the sse2 instruction are missing in the AMD Athlon XP generation. This kind of computer need another specific build. I think is juste a few lines to adjust…
Ok, I think it can be easy to disable sse2 and build from source. Let me know if one of you get some positive result, I will automate those builds and provide images. I have no pre sse2 computer here to do these tests myself. You or another one can join our IRC chan to get some help from me with this compilation process.
Great news ! Thanks for helping the pre sse2 cpu owners. The Thread of Francesco “Illegal instruction” have more than 700 views, it will surly interest a lot of people …and I think it’s in the spirit of Lakka TV & Retro Arch to give a second chance to old hardware.
When it’s done give me the link where to download the build, i’ll test it on my sempron 2400+
Kivutar : i don’t understand, you want me to compil the pre sse2 build ? Or it is you ? Cause i haven’t linux at home and i’m a noob in compiling such things… But i’m naturaly ok for testing…
The thing is I don’t have that pre sse hardware here to test. So we should find someone with both this hardware and the hability to compile.
Is it possible to just remove the sse2 instruction set on the code and compli it juste one time and i test it ? Is this a lot of work to remove the use of ss2 instructions ? Thanks by advance,
