Lakka // Surface Pro 4

Hi All,

Done a bit of research and can’t seem to find a comprehensive solution to booting Lakka on a Surface Pro 4. I believe the difficulty is stemming from the Surface’s UEFI boot sequence. Unfortunately, even when I try to use a UEFI-ready build I am still unable to boot into the OS. I have tried disabling the UEFI secure boot as well to no avail.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Perhaps someone out there has solved the issue already.

Cheers

Hi,

You tried with both 64 bit and 32 bitUEFI version ?

Thanks for the help on this gouci - I was able to boot using the 64bit version. Unfortunately, however, the boot sequence goes straight to the install wizard (instead of the bootloader screen that gives me the option to run as a live usb).

Is this an issue anyone has seen with other installs on UEFI hardware?

Really hoping to create a sleek mobile retro arcade with just my surface, a usb and an old xbox controller. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

For now it seems there is only installer supported for uefi boot. I need to check why there is not yet usb live mode enabled.

Great - thanks for the quick response and I’ll look forward to finding out more.
