Yeah i can see some presets in content downloader, but only let’s say a total of 20. But normally there are hundreds of them.
Retrobat is a fork of Batocera and should have access to the same content.
The Mega Bezel is built into Retroarch, and my presets for the Mega Bezel are available in the content downloader, as is a shader set for them.
The only time it gets mildly complicated is if you want to use a preset that is different from the default.
While you are playing a game, press “F1” to open the retroarch UI.
From there you can access all the shaders.
You will need to have no shader set enabled in the Retrobat settings for any saved (Game, Core, Content Directory) to work, otherwise the Retrobat settings will override the saved preset.
The “Presets” you see in the content downloader are “sets” of presets. For example, if you download and enable my preset pack, it will automatically select presets for all the platforms that use retroarch cores.
Since Retrobat runs on Windows, there are no restrictions on what files you can write to.
If you want, you can customize the chosen presets using global overrides (A feature of my presets.) and make changes to all of them at the same time.
On youtube videos like retro crisis he says to put integer scale to ON, but here i read to put it on OFF. So what’s the best setting?
Also, do i read the readme.txt for the best up-to-date settings and installation or somewhere else?
Lastly, it’s the same thing to just download the file from here and to download it from retroarch in the slang presets?
Is there any adaptive dedithering possible like mdapt or gdapt in mbz?
Everything is available in Mega Bezel!
Integer scale needs to be off in the retroarch video settings. Setting it to on or off in the shader is a personal preference.
Integer scale jumps around a lot and can be quite restrictive on a 1080 display. (It does help with moire.)
The readme.md just explains what the settings do. “Best” is subjective and it doesn’t include any recommendations, for that you’ll have to play around a bit. The defaults are acceptable, until you gain more experience and get fussy.
There is a versioning bug but the end result is the same. (If by, “from here”, you mean the link to the GitHub release.)
Can you point me to the specific settings please?
I suggest you read over the readme.md file.
Thanks but looks like MDAPT is not available in recent versions, I found the setting, it is the HYLLIAN-SGENPT-MIX-DE-DITHERING, by default it is set to Checkerboard only, I have now set it to both (Checkerboard and Vertical Lines) which also blends the waterfall, and that doesn’t really impact the rest of the image (or just slightly), I hope it doesn’t produce some unwanted effects elsewhere, as I created a base preset for all my plaftorms. I’ll figure it out hopefully or won’t notice it
This is an updated and improved version of MDAPT. It does everything MDAPT did and more.
That’s not possible with heuristic algorithm based approaches to dedithering.
If you don’t want false positives or any weirdness, it’s better to use something like the GDV-ADV-NSTC base presets or Blargg NTSC Video Filter Presets from the Settings–»Video–»Video Filter Menu in conjunction with whatever Base Preset you’re currently using.
For more advanced video filter presets you can download my CyberLab Custom Blargg NTSC Video Filter Presets pack.
Awesome thanks for the info.
bezel project = win mega bezel = win duimon presets = win
triple win! Awesome work all
I am using it on retroach mame only. Every time I load a new game, I have to reapply the shaders. I saved a core config, did not work
any ideas anyone?
Cheers!
Are you using my Bezel Project presets?
I am indeed! It’s the only one that works flawlessly with the bezel project
Did you follow my install instructions to use a temporary install of retroarch to run the bezel project installer?
My concern is that some of the installer’s scripts have written interfering configs.
I did not follow those instructions, lol.
Thanks for the heads up, will restart
I used retroarch version 1.19.1. I installed version 1.21.0 today and I discovered that the shaders have too strong colors! Here are two photos for comparison:
RetroArch 1.21.0
RetroArch 1.19.1
What can you do to make it look like it did before??
No answer? Will there be an update so that the colors are normal in RetroArch 1.21.0? This is related to all shaders here, the colors are not displayed correctly!
Have you tried making any adjustments in the settings to get the colors you want? Megabezel isn’t just one set thing, you can make a huge number of adjustments to the image in the F1 menu.
