Multi Console Playlist

I’ve created my own multi console favorites playlist (Including Mame, SNes and other roms) but I can’t define any icon for this type of mixed playlist so the playlist apears but with no icon on the GUI. Is there any way to define what iconset shoud a playlist use ? Or even better, a way to define it to use a mixed set ?

Thanks.

RetroArch uses the databases hashes to match games to their metadata, including which icon to use. If you’re skipping the database matching, it won’t be able to assign an icon.

However, we should probably come up with a way to assign an icon to ‘unknown’.

There is a hacky workaround in the bottom section of the playlists doc (‘Icons’): http://www.lakka.tv/doc/Playlists/

See our icons here: ls /usr/share/retroarch-assets/xmb/monochrome/png/ Adding your own icons will be eased by an asset overriding system in the future versions of Lakka. In the meanwhile, you will have to rely on dirty solutions like changing the asset directory in RetroArch settings, and copying your assets to the storage partition.

As long as your playlist has the same filename as the png icons you want to use, it’ll show both filename.png and filename-content.png

^^oh nice! That’s easier/simpler than I thought. Still not going to help with a multiconsole playlist, but it’s better than nothing.

Well, you can just set the cores on the playlist and have multiple systems, like so:

/ROMS/NeoGeo/aof3.zip
Art of Fighting 3 - The Path of the Warrior
/cores/fba_libretro.so
Arcade (FB Alpha - SVN)
0|crc
Peleas.lpl
/ROMS/ArcadePSX/bldyror2.zip
Bloody Roar 2
/cores/mame2014_libretro.so
Arcade (MAME 2014)
0|crc
Peleas.lpl

I was referring to the individual games’ icons matching their console, which isn’t possible if they come from the playlist name.
