Multiple problems with major release

I’ve tried this last major release, and I’m really satisfied with the results. But I found an issue when moving through the interface: If you switch languages the UI brokes and gets mostly unusuable.

I’ve tried restarting the PC, but it’s still broken.

Also, I press “Tab” to enter command line and it doesn’t work. Am I doing it in the wrong moment or what?

Also, is there a way to erase the list of ROMs. I’ve scanned my ROMs from my USB by mistake, when I wanted to scan the ROM folder.

EDIT: I also noticed that most of the buttons of the keyboard don’t work on Lakka. Only the arrows. Do I have to configure some button to access the command line on boot?

EDIT: If you enter in Privacy on the Settings tab, the system freezes.

Hello,

I will check and fix this language bug. I checked French, and it worked for me. What language did you try?

The privacy bug has been fixed in our development builds.

The key to navigate the menus are X and W, because they are linked to the retropad abstraction.

The tab not working is a known bug yes :frowning:

I chose Spanish, and the system froze.

Have they fixed the Tab “bug” yet?

Looks like Spanish have been fixed on the master branch of RetroArch.

I will release a bugfix version of Lakka today or tomorrow. This will certainly allow you to use Spanish!

EDIT: no, finally it is a real bug, I declared it here https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/2534

I can keep using the system in English. I can stand that. But I need the command line, and the other two methods are not practical for my situation.

You didn’t enable ssh during the installation?

If so, try to create an empty file at /storage/.cache/services/sshd.conf by any hacky mean and reboot, it should enable the service.

I enabled SSH during the installation.

Have you tried the X and W keysto navigate the interface?

What does that have to do with the problem? I know how to navigate the interface. I want to enter the command line.

Sorry, i’m not sure to get your problem. You want access to the cmdline or the cli ?

To the CMDLine.

Sorry, we have this bug on the PC image, once installed, there is just no easy way to edit the cmdline.

You may achieve it by SSHing and mounting the first partition and edit the syslinux config file. But I never tried it.

@Kivutar, a little off-topic (but not much): the PC image seems to have several important limitations: cannot edit the cmdline, N64 emulator not working… I’m considering switching to another platform (typically raspPi or BananaPi, to enclose it in a Master System II case), which platform would you recommend upon your experience and users feedback for a best Lakka box?

If you have enough money, get an OdroidXU4, it can run N64, PSX, and PSP with enhanced resolution like a PC.

If not, go for an RPi2, but it will not play n64 or PSP fast enough.
