Munt / MT-32

Is there any solution for MT-32 sounds in lakka? Typically, I use munt in other dosbox situations, but I don’t know how I would install it without the linux command prompt. (which I don’t see any way to access from the lakka menu)

I’m using a recent lakka image on a raspberry pi 3b+. typically, I hook up to a 15kHz CRT via a 666 connector.

Thanks,

According to the README on the core’s GitHub page, you need to:

To use MIDI you need MT32_CONTROL.ROM and MT32_PCM.ROM in the system directory of RetroArch.Then set:

[midi]
mpu401=intelligent
mididevice=mt32

Also we will have to enable midi support.

I sorry, I don’t quite understand. Do you mean that midi support can’t be enabled, or that I have to do something to enable it? I read the link you gave, am I supposed to infer that I need to install fluidsynth?

Thanks

I was under the impression that Munt installation was necessary for this to work. I already have the MT-32 ROMs from a dump, so I can try this.
