The core OS runs fine, thus far SNES, PSX, NES, and GBA are running. I will update if I try others. Currently though having a bugger getting sound to work. That is on another thread though. I am posting my build to let others know it works fine on this hardware.
Asus FM board A78-M series with 6000 onboard graphics a6 processor 8 gigs ddr3 1600 pny single chip 220 watt psu
all parts function without fail
Will post the complete series number on the mobo when I am at home, at work currently.
I have it all mounted on a custom mobo tray that once I get all parts of the OS working I plan to make a complete custom case around it. Any suggestions on material would be nice. Since there is very low stress on the components power need and heat produced are very low.
Currently I plan on making back out of sheet metal with a sliding access panel for the plug ins. I will mold them in cheap plastic to protect them from dust and moister. The problem is making a mount for the PSU and a cdrom.
