N64, MAME, and screwed up catagories

Sorry if I am being redundant, I realize this project is still in it’s early stages and that you are working on better core support, it’s just that from what I’m reading, these should already work and like PSX, are not.

I don’t seem to have a MAME core at all, only FBA. Since I’m on a PC I’d like to see if I can play Elevator Action 2, Golden Axe 2, and Outfoxies.

Also I can not get a single N64game to run, I just return to the menu.

Lastly, aside of not zipping my roms, is there a way to prevent Turbo CD’s from showing up in PSX, Sega CD, and vice versa?

The new incoming xmb menu should resolve the wrong rom listings see news posting.

yup…the roms are showing up in different systems…i guess the xmb should solve this issue…but the games fail to launch when i tried xmb…

and for the n64 and psx games…have you copied the BIOS to the systems folder yet???

I have the PSX bios files but did not realize there was a N64 BIOS… what is it called?

Only tried RPi2 Lakka no N64 bios required but as mentioned elsewhere this build as no audio and around 10 frames per second currently.

psx bios I renamed 7003 to 5501 if that helps.

member arananet posted some help https://github.com/libretro/Lakka/wiki/Emulation-Tips-&-Tricks

@ psp_revival : Thanks for the link, I’ve been using that, also I’ve been testing against Retroarch for Windows and Linux to just make sure it is not the BIOS files or game files I have been using.

Seeing as this project is still in early stages, I will hold off till next release to post any of my observations so as not to risk becoming redundant. Thank you for your help!

I take that back… I installed Lakka to the same exact hardware I was using before, but with a smaller hard drive this time. Same “System” folder contents and all. Now all of a sudden I can play N64, and now all of a sudden 3DO games just drop me back to the menu. Talk about random!
