N64 not working on lakka - intel atom processor n450, 1gb memory, gateway computer

Hi everyone,

I have finally been able to have lakka recognize my n64 roms, however, I am unable to load them. When i select a n64 rom it goes black ( i think retro arch quits ).

Is there a solution to fix this?

Thank you!

I had a problem with some N64 roms. I mentioned it in another recent thread. It involved file names having a #-sign and/or zip file archives where the filename within the archive contains a #-sign. Look for the posts from my username. I’d link it to you, but I’m not on a device right now where that is easy to do.

thanks for the reply! I unzipped them, but I have no # sign. There is a () though, ill check that out. Hope it works - ill post a reply.

Files crash still so i tried ot rename them so its just the game.v64 ie.:

1080 Snowboarding (U) [!].v64 <---- renamed to1080 Snowboarding.v64

Still nothing. I hit run - screen goes blank, i see that flower and it ends back at menu which i think means the system reboots retropi :(:(:(:(:frowning:

Is it retropie or lakka? on a pc or a raspberry pie??

Also if it is a 32 bit lakka pc version… I believe it has issues with n64 roms (as mentioned in another post)

Lakka on a (PC) netbook. Pretty sure its a 32bit intel atom core 1gb ram.

Ya i just discovered that 32bit post. Been reading through here - not seeing any damn work arounds. to bad. Was hoping i just had to update or swap a file. :frowning:

I have a 1,1 macbook but cannot for life of me get damn lakka installation usb key to boot.

You tried the core from the buildbot?

I have not. I just went to playlists and cycled through it and did not see buildbot core in there. Do i have to install this core?

It’s not a core. The build bot is this http://buildbot.libretro.com

You can get freshly built cores from here. In your case, an i386 mupen64plus core that you can unzip in Lakka’s core directory.

I wasn’t able to build this core properly for Lakka.

So give a try to the one in the buildbot

I have the same problem

how do I use the buildbot???
