Needed to overclock

So i got my pc build, lakka installed, audio works… games loaded. Snes works fine, just some psx games got terrible audio. The framerates are stable though. Is this a case of too weak hardware or just less optimal roms. I’ve tried tekken 3 and the gameplay is smooth but the audio is just awfull. Final fantasy 7 had some crackling till i upped the audio latency. Chocobo racing is pretty much flawless.

Question being, there’s an option to auto overclock in my bios. Either to 2,3 or 2,4 ghz. From the stock 2,05ghz. Would that do any good? Don’t want to fry my motherboard or psu. Using an a1 5350 with an asrock motherboard. The whole thing is built into a small antec isk 110 case. Think the psu is rated at 90 watts. The cpu is a low power part, 25 watts… but I haven’t a clue how much pore juice an overclock takes.

This is my first ever pc build… was planning to use this build as a simple linux desktop, but turned out my girlfriends old broken screen laptop fits that purpose just fine. Perhaps the a1 5350 is a bit too weak for psx emulation is what i’m kinda dreading.

2.05 ghz is quite low for PSX, currently. I think you’d be safe trying the overclock to 2.3 ghz to see if it helps. If it has problems, just set it back to default.

So I overclocked to 2,3ghz. It still runs the same. Graphics wise it’s grand. Just the sound. Varying from crackling to extreme slowdowns while the video runs pretty much perfectly. Tekken 3 being the worst one in my library. Sound works but the music is dreadfull. Ya’ll think it’s something to do with the intergrated graphics? I just saw this clip on lakka on youtube and a rpi 3 ran tekken with way better audio.
