NES machine. LAKKA viable?

Hello all, I have recently finished a build in which I placed a modified Acer Aspire One motherboard running LAKKA into a wooden box to make a home game console. This project was a success.

Now I wish to use parts from a HP Pavilion 8566C I found in the trash to make a dedicated NES emulation machine. Is it possible to run LAKKA on hardware this old? If not, does anyone know if it is possible to have a simplified OS that boots directly into a NES emulator? i advise you to run something like puppy and install the NES emulator and run that on boot, windows 2000 will do that to.

I think RAM is going to be your biggest issue. You might also consider something like freedos.

It doesn’t hurt to try. First thing would be to instantly change to the rgui menu. But like jcam said, an extremely light Linux with the minimum and then just auto run an news emulator
