New issue now: PSX Bios on Chromebox CN60

Well, good new bad news: but I have to admit, it was a stretch to think about this one (and it took working on another emulation software to even think about the potential influence to THIS one, but my suspicions actually were verified!

Background: Was working with RetroPie (which frustration with RetroPie led me to Recalbox and Lakka in the first place), and I noticed while working with the R-Pi 3 units in a new case with heatsinks and fans, a little lightning bolt would appear in the upper right hand corner of the screen. I Googled it to find out it was the undervoltage indicator icon letting me know that my board was under-powered. Swapped power supplies with a verified working one, same thing occurred. Led me to believe that maybe, just maybe, that the Lakka Chromebox wasn’t getting enough juice, and therefore couldn’t launch ANY of the cores (but could power up, let me SSH into the box, etc.), but play games, only a little while, but then conk out.

I moved it to a different location/TV/HDMI, and fired the box up. Worked right out the box, beautifully. Every game, almost every core, I was tearing through Blast Corps, Wave Race, Goldeneye (@ 60 FPS and 1080p), Super Castlevania IV, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, etc. It was beautiful…until I got to PSX. And then, it crashed. Again. Argh! I loaded the core, checked the Information -> Core Information, and it’s says BIOS: Missing, Required. Which the BIOS FILES ARE IN THERE! Of course, the notes on the bottom of the information give the recommended MD5 Checksums…which wouldn’t be a problem, except the BIOS files in question…HAVE THE EXACT SAME ONES! So from what I can tell, even though it’s in the /storage/system folder, it’s not picking them up. I even tried to have them scan the directory to see if that would help, no dice. No PSX core would work (Medafen PSX, Med PSX HW, PSX ReArMeD). I scan the /storage/system directory to see if it reads the other BIOS files in there, and yup, not only does it read them, it generates menu entires in the bar above for said BIOS files. I can run Sega Saturn, Dreamcast and even Turbografx-16 games properly. But not PSX and PSP for the life of me. I even downloaded the PSP driver from the Lakka site! That makes no sense!

Anyone can help? I’d appreciate it!

Warning: Dumb@$$ alert: it seems you all were right: it’s case sensitive…and it can’t have the type .BIN. It HAS to be .bin in the properties folder as well as well when you check the details folder. However, Medafen PSX still hates me: even with that fixed, it still won’t run. PSX ReArMeD works though with the eBOOT.PBP files. So no multi-disc switching/renaming issues for me. Thanks to gouchi, hunterk and everyone who had the patience to put up with me.
