New sonkun crt guest advanced hd presets thread

I’m unsure how I’ll go about my PAL presets though. There has been a brand new exclusive PAL guest.r shader added to his pack, the question for me is do I replace my current PAL preset for his version or just keep what I already have? Not sure how I’ll go about that.

I tested it and looks cool. If you need some testers of new PAL versions, count on me.

In the meantime I’m still playing around with settings but I guess I’ll be gearing up to release something close to how that sample pack looks. If there’s any suggestions or things you’d like to see added or even taken away definitely suggest them, I’m down for changing some things up as I go along.

I usually like deep shadow masks, like in your stable presets, they hide the pixels and give more texture, but I’m also liking your new presets, with lighter shadowmask but less definition, definitely a different look. Let’s see where you get.

While testing the latest presets, I noticed that the colors on certain systems like Saturn and 3DO look very greenish and completely off. Is this normal?

Im on android, updated Guest Crt and installed Sonkun, but every time i try to load a sokun shaders it says it couldn’t comple resswitch-glitch-koko. What am i missing? Already updated shaders from retroarch.

resswitch-glitch shader has been moved from the 'crt/shaders' folder into the 'crt/crt-effects/shaders' folder some time ago.

It could work for you if you make a copy of crt-resswitch-glitch-koko.slang from this subfolder back into the main ‘crt/shaders’ folder again, since @sonkun’s presets might still be loading it from there.

The catch is that slang shader updates don’t delete files if they are moved or deleted from the main repository. But if someone starts from scratch and updates slang shaders, then presets, which weren’t properly altered, can’t load/work.

When I try to use sonkun’s shaders, it keeps appearing this message:

I did all the recommended steps, I updated the overlays and shaders presets, and I changed my video driver to vulkan. I don’t know what else I need to do… Appreciate any help

Hello everyone. I also want to confirm that these sonkun presets are failing to load for me as well, and I’m getting the same error message as above: “Failed to apply shader preset crt-resswitch-glitch-koko.slang.” I tried moving crt-resswitch-glitch-koko.slang to its old directory as guest suggested and still no luck. If anyone knows a fix, please let me know. Thanks!

For anyone else having issues getting them to work I did a find and replace using vs code in the sonkun folder:

This appears to have fixed the issue for all presets I have tried.
