[nightly] Hotkey customizing not working anymore

Hello, since Lakka-Generic.devel-20151107184942-r21196 I am unable to change the hotkey binding.

Before (Lakka-Generic.devel-20151019072836-r21178, Lakka-Generic.devel-20151024065822-r21181) with only a keyboard and no controller plugged (and after fresh startup) I was able to assign other keys to “Load State”, “Save State” etc.

Now the assignments all end in time-out and no pressed key is recognized at all.

Do you have the binding mode set to ‘retrokeyboard’?

Thanks hunterk, my Bind mode was set to “Auto” I changed it to “RetroKeyboard” then to “RetroPad” but with same result, even with only my keyboard plugged, 100% of keyboard keys pressed during binding end in time-out, that is really strange :s

Hmm. that is really strange. Maybe kivutar has some Lakka-specific info he can add…

I don’t think that I changed anything about the hotkey. Here are the changes I make for the retroarch.cfg https://github.com/libretro/Lakka/blob/lakka/packages/libretro/retroarch/package.mk#L97-L141

Ok… But am I the only one with this issue or someone else tried it on 20151107184942 ?

In the meantime, can someone show me how to do the binding manually over SSH? Do I have to stop retroarch (how?), edit a config file (which one?), what is the keys scheme (ascii value, other?) Any help is highly appreciated :o)

Hello, is there any news on this?

Has anyone tried to bind the hotkeys with RetroKeyboard on one of the latest nightlies?

I tried again on latest one: keyboard strike still goes 100% in time-out.

I also tried to press Input User 1 Binds, and it completely freezes Lakka. You have to restart it with Esc key.

Maybe both are linked and show a problem related to binds?

Fyi I reverted back to 20151024065822 and hotkey binding works normally there.

Thanks

Something got changed about inputs binding recently. You should definitely fill a bug report about this on retroarch issue tracker if you want it to be fixed quickly.
