No audio device and skipping forwards once per second

OK so I had a problem and just gave up and used 1024x768 as the resolution but now I have another problem. There’s no audio device showing up (I have realtek HD audio) and when I play a game it keeps skipping forwards once a second by about 10 frames (the game skips forwards a lot once a second)

Am I doing something wrong or is this just something expected because there’s so many configurations available?

You should be able to cycle through your audio devices in settings > audio.

I’m not sure I understand the skipping issue. Is it getting hung and then jumping ahead to the appropriate time after the hang? I haven’t heard of those symptoms before.

Funny thing is I had to type in the audio and hen the issue stopped when I fixed the sound. It kept going 70+fps instead of 60 before that.

You should be able to cycle through audio devices by pressing left or right key as described in the documentation.

If not please provide the output of aplay -L

We have a fix in Lakka 2.1 rc4 if the audio device get stucked when you try to change it.

I’ve got the sound working thanks. the aplay command listed the devices. The only problem I have is having to use a lower resolution now thanks to my monitor having the wrong EDID. I know if I could disable EDID it would work. Like for example, I plug in another monitor and set it to 1280x1024 then remove the cable and plug it into the TV and voila it’s working perfect. But then if I restart it goes back to the error of resolution supported not found and reverts to the out of range one, leaving me to have to manually roll back to 1024x768. Showing lakka that 1280x1024 is supported with the other monitors edid makes it work in the resolution I want basically but I can’t switch back and forth every reboot. I’m sure I’ll figure it out somehow. Thanks for the help.
