No audio over hdmi on Samsung KS8000 TV

I’m having a strange issue.

The TV I want to use with Lakka (using linux pc) will not output any audio through the TV speakers over HDMI. I know that the audio device should be NVIDIA hdmi dev 1. I know this because this same PC works on 3 other TVs in my house, two of them are older Samsung LCDs and one is an LG. With my new TV (Samsung KS8000) no audio outputs.

I’m wondering if anyone can give me a hint of what could be happening. I’ve tried different HDMI cables, even tried another NVIDIA card. Currently using an NVIDIA GTX 670 but have also tried a Titan X with the same issue.

I’ve connected a windows pc to the TV (ks8000) using the same video cards and audio outputs just fine.

Could this just be a bug with the TV somehow?

I had similar problem once with my laptop connected to tv. I got the sounds working by changing the audio latency during gameplay. I’m not sure why it worked, but you should try it.

So you changed audio_device and it didn’t work ?

Please provide some audio device and lakka system logs.
