I just set up Lakka on my odroid ux4. It works great and plays all my content. The only way I can load a game is by going to “load content” and going through the file list. All the tutorials and demos I have seen have the icons of the different game system displayed on the main menu. What am I missing?
You have to scan for content. note: our content databases are based on No-Intro and Redump DATs, so only ROMs that match those sets will show up.
Thanks for the info. I’ll head over to redump and see how I can verify my Roms.
Do you know of a list – or know from memory – which systems use Redump as their RetroArch database? I’d like to add this to the docs.
I don’t know offhand but I think it’s pretty much any CD-based system that actually scans. PSX and PCE-CD, I think, at least.
That helps, and in fact I think it now completes the Database column for all of the console systems listed in the ROMs and BIOSes doc. Tada! There are a few special purpose emulators and the PC-FX still holding onto an ‘unknown’ but I think that is not such a big problem as with these mainstream consoles.
So I have it working.
Thanks to all the help. I actually learned quite a bit about verifying ROMS. I also didn’t realize that the files had to be in .nes format. At first I was leaving them in the .7z.
Thanks again everyone
