I dont have an adapter, so i want to flash emmc on Ubuntu (using dd command). How can i do that?
You can’t. You NEED the adapter. The XU4 can’t read both the eMMC and the micro SD at the same time to make the copy work. That’s not the fault of the OS. That’s why the XU4 has the switch on the back in order to control which port to boot from on the single-board computer.
The reason I know this is because…I have four XU4s, one 64 GB eMMC module, and plenty of micro SD cards. And the little eMMC -> micro SD adapter. You will have to flash Lakka using the adapter onto the eMMC that way and then use the switch in the position to boot from the eMMC module.
Thanks for your answer but I have flashed linux (ubuntu mate 16.04) image successfully on emmc from XU4 (using Ubuntu mate 16.04 on microsd card). With the LAKKA image I have done but nothing boot action occur. I wanna run LAKKA on emmc bc it faster than microsd.
Good luck with that.
