Odroid XU4 zipped roms on external ntfs disk do not start

hello all! something bad happened :frowning: my configuration is odroid xu4 with external hdd (usb3 to sata) since my space was near to end i decided to replace all rom with zipped version (before all except isos and fba wasn’t zipped) i rebuild all playlist but no game start! no game of no emulators nothing, except FBA,PSP and PSX. what’s wrong now? i have all bios in system dir, i didn’t changed that only rom files changed from not zipped version to zipped :frowning: any help?

EDIT: i made some test, i moved some zipped roms from external hdd to emmc and they work! so i tried to unzip a game and put on external hdd via samba i get an error “to continue authorization is required” what it mean? if i connect the hdd to my laptop and copy the unzipped rom, and then i connect to odroid rom start, but i can’t actually copy or delete datas on external hdd when it is connected to odroid using network (samba) why?

EDIT:EDIT: after further investigation i found ntfs filesystem can only be read, question is where are unzipped rom files? looks like Lakka try to unzip into external hdd and that’s impossible so it quit :frowning: any solutions?

Try to switch to advanced settings, and change the extraction directory, or temporary directory, to /tmp in the directory settings. And see if it fixes your problem.

thanks for help! ok i checked and surprisingly i have the temporary directory pointing to tmp not to hdd, i remember i only changed save states and snapshots to hdd, before i was using a 320gb hdd fat32 formatted, i switched to this one ntfs formatted, but i would really like to do maximum possible r/w operations (especially Write ones for obivious reasons  ) on hdd and not on emmc. i’m trasferring for the 1000 time roms from hdd to desktop, then i’ll try paragon extfs whith the hdd ext4 formatted, if it will work without too much problems i will leave the hdd ext4 formatted

@Kivutar i fixed changing filesystem, now i’m using ext4 with beautiful ext2fs on windows. it run flawlessly, however with more relaxed looking at directories menu (advanced settings) i noticed there are some option pointing to /tmp directory but are playlist, screenshots and so on, there are actually NO extraction directory or temporary directory inside directory settings (at least in odroid xu4 menu)… could i look elsewhere using ssh? thanks for support
