Onscreen Notifications still permanent

I am using Lakka nightly 2019-08-13, on a 4GB Raspberry pi 4. Fix in retroarch -> Onscreen Notifications -> off. But the warning that i have a snes controller on port 0 still appears. Do i have to do something else?

Turn widgets off, there are difference between widgets and messages. This should fix you issue.
