Pairing official Microsoft XBox 360 wireless controller?

Does anybody know how to pair the Microsoft XBox 360 wireless controller with Lakka? It pairs and works fine on my PC, but the lights just flash when I try to pair it when plugged in with Lakka running. I’ve got it plugged into my Raspberry Pi Model B just now, it detects the wireless receiver and seems to apply it to four inputs, but I can’t get the controller to pair with it.

The wired 360 controller works perfectly, but obviously the wireless controller would be better. Can anybody point me in the right direction with this?

PS, the image I’m using is Lakka-RPi.arm-devel-20150529164419-r21027-g43f71a8.img and was downloaded the other night.

According to the documentation,it should work out of the box if you use official adapter. Which one are you using ?

If possible try to connect to Lakka and try to get some information.

Works just fine with Pi2.

Using May 2015 build.

Thanks for the response guys.

It’s definitely a genuine Microsoft wireless receiver and controller. I opened a terminal and checked the results of lsusb ::

Bus 001 Device 006: ID 045e:0719 Microsoft Corp. Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter

This would give a vendor_id of 1118 and product_id of 1817, which matches up with the config on github:

@psp_revival, is there a special procedure for pairing in linux. I’ve been trying to do it the standard way I do with windows: turn on controller, press button on receiver, press button on controller. It works instantly with windows, but nothing happens when plugged into the RPi.

On the plus side, I’ve used what I learned here to create a config for my Datel Arcade Pro stick.

^ No special way to sync, same process as you although controller home/guide button remains flashing at all times but works without problem.

  • As an aside right now I am using Namco PS 1 arcade stick with Mayflash universal adapter works great.
