hi again gouchi, i alredy managed to make lakka pass from the flower

Lakka:~ # for p in /sys/class/drm//status; do con=${p%/status}; echo -n "${con#/card?-}: "; cat $p; done LVDS-1: connected VGA-1: connected Lakka:~ # mount -o remount,rw /flash Lakka:~ # nano /flash/extlinux.conf Lakka:~ # mount -o remount,ro /flash Lakka:~ # reboot

i used this tip but the LVDS didnt wanted to disconnect

i used the last nightly and did it again and it popd ehheheheh

thanks anyway

And the output of

lspci -knn | grep VGA

here it is

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:a011]

Your graphic card is supported by module i915 you should see the module.

lsmod | grep i915

Can you try to see if you can launch it with another driver menu :

systemctl stop retroarch
sed -i 's/\"xmb\"/\"rgui\"/g' /storage/.config/retroarch/retroarch.cfg
systemctl start retroarch

Do you see some error with

journalctl | grep drm

hi gouchi,

i was able to run lakka ok now, the problem now is paring the P3 (PS3 knockoff dualshock 3) with bluetooth, already followed the instructions from here http://www.lakka.tv/doc/Wireless-Dualshock/, but something is not right. throught USB it functions ok.

i reckon the problem not passing the flower on boot was because this is a netbook and i am using the VGA output (the lcd was broken), so the LVDS was the first output and i had to disable the LVDS and use just the VGA, now is ok (sorry for my bad english i’m an unschooled portuguese)

What did you change so that it works now ?

Try to reset your dualshock and pair it again. When you succeed, make the configuration permanent. But you are not using official dualshock 3 so I am not sure if it will work. Please check this issue.

hi gouchi, i’ve read about the issue and find out that my dualshock 3 is a Shanwan

how can i apply the Shanwan controller patch? do i have to compile the all thing? i dont know how to do it yet. is there a nightly with that driver so i could try?

thank you

This patch has been applied the March 14th 2016 so it is enabled in the latest nightly available which is from March 19th.

hi gouchi,

the problem that i think is happening is that when i follow the doc instructions it’s suposed to ask permission

Authorize service ‘‘service_uuid’’ (yes/no):

and it doesn’t ask any permission

is that something i can do?

Hello, I do not mean to hijack anyone’s thread but I seem to have the same issue as the initial post. I seem to be stuck at the flower (berry) and I cannot do anything past that. I have a feeling it is due to the fact that I use an older netbook motherboard and do not have the primary output available (the screen cracked so I am working on a project using the board) and I am only using the VGA output as a primary, or trying to.

I found some documentation ( http://www.lakka.tv/doc/PC/ ) that I will be trying when I get home but I wanted to know if there were any other tips or reasons this would happen.

I am sorry I have not provided as much info as the OP but I can try to get a log, if there is one. I have been messing around with android ROMs and recoveries for a long time but this is getting the best of me.

I really want to install Laaka instead of Puppy Arcade because I like the layout and idea of booting to a playable interface without having to do extra steps. (I can get rom loader to auto start in puppy, but I would rather give this a shot. Laaka also appears to support more systems). I can’t disable the onboard through bios, so I am at a loss.

Well that didn’t work. It just sits at the berry still. I get prompts on the screen. it tells me it is booting, at first boot (second after it resizes) it says it reached retroarch core and just sits there. subsequent boots don’t show that, just stall. I have no way of attaching a screen to the board directly or I would try that. I still think it might have something to do with the primary output being to the “onboard” screen but I don’t know how to force it to VGA to see if that’s the issue. Upon booting, advanced options appear to say VGA=current, but I don’t exactly know if that means it will force to VGA or the VGA is the current primary or that the current (laptop) screen is being pushed as VGA. I Think I can give a model number to the laptop if that helps. it should be in bios. maybe? I’m not sure. it’s been awhile since I had to find the model number.

hi Dopy25, i had the same problem, what i did was ssh to lakka and fullscreen the window, then run al the things, but not copy/past, it solved my problem, because the first time i had the same result has you had, and because i am stubborn i had to do it again and it worked

ps: dont forget to change in the BIOS to “choose what is avaliable” something like that.

Wouldn’t the setup have had to boot at some point, and be on the network to ssh into? I have been trying to read on that since I am unfamiliar. But I installed an ssh client on my phone. I think that would allow me to connect to the lakka installed setup, correct? But is still sounds like there would need to be some sort of network connection, no?

install lakka then connect a ethernet cable to the router/modem and that machine “lakka”, reboot, find out the IP of lakka, then use putty to ssh to lakka using the IP, it will ask you for login which is root, and password which also is root.
