Please Help - Lakka works great on computer monitor, but TV says wrong resolution

Hello,

I am brand new here, and brand new to Lakka. I spent all day yesterday setting up a Lakka box using an old Chromebox, and it works beautifully…on my desktop monitor. When I thought that I had it finished, I plugged it into the TV in the living room and it just says “this resolution not supported. Change the resolution on the external device” and then goes to sleep. No problem, I thought, I’ll just hook it back up in the office and change the resolution.

I can’t figure out, for the life of me, how to change the resolution. My TV is a 2 year old Samsung LED, so it should be plenty capable. My computer monitor is a 1 year old Acer, nothing special, and it shows Lakka running at 1920x1080. Can someone please help me figure out what the heck is going on?

Thanks!

Turns out, I’m just a dummy. Lakka doesn’t like my Hdmi switcher, but if I plug it directly into the TV it works great. I just had to move some things around, but now my box is working beautifully. Hopefully this helps someone down the road.

Happy Gaming!

ah, glad you got it figured out, and thanks for posting your solution!

I am having a similar problem with my s905 box, it only works on 1 TV, any other TV I plug it in to says unsupported signal. I am plugging the box directly into the tv no splitter or anything like that, also I have tried different hdmi cables too.
