Portable unit project, video question

Hello, All! Question for the group: On a Rpi, does Lakka natively auto-detect video output if unit is already powered on, and HDMI is plugged in mid-game?

The config would be GPIO LCD / HDMI output; from my research so far, there isn’t an “easy” way to make this happen without a script, and you still need to reboot when switching video output I’m planning a new unit, portable this time! Of course the unit will be a complete Frankenstein build as was my stationary unit lol I’m playing very ambitiously here, and going for a “nintendo switch” type of build: something with a small LCD, a BT controller, and a battery pack to power a Rpi3 based unit.

Eventually, I’d want to make a cradle when using the “console” as set-top unit, but that is another story… I know there are lines to update for hdmi sound to work if needed, so not too concerned about that. Let me know what you think!

Might have answered my own question: if i remember correctly, there is an “auto” option in the “video” menu setting, I think i saw that in the x86/64 version, so I hope the option is also available on the Rpi version. As i don’t have a Pi to test with, yet, can anyone confirm?
