I like this, can you also make one with a bigger video frame, basically only the the frame without the console to fill the screen without a background?

That’s an awesome overlay.

I run psp full screen because it looks ok but I may add this to some games if I can edit it I will post it back up 16x9

Thatman84, i’m worked on it all day part per part, it’s not easy to maintain handheld aspect ratio 3:2=1.5 aspect ratio for handheld systems as you can see viewport width 1058 divided by height 705 is 1.5 aspect ratio, but you may try to edit it.

I remade two arcade overlays from John Merrit for 16:10 users, credits goes to him black tiger and hangon to be used with mame core in retroarch.

Black Tiger retroarch settings: integer scale off, viewport x 316, viewport y 130, viewport width 1047, viewport height 787 and set overlay scale to 1.02

I converted three arcade overlays from john merrit to 16:10 resolutions, outrun, mortal kombat 4 and shinobi.

Mortal Kombat 4 retroarch settings: integer scale off, viewport x 256, viewport y 89, viewport width 1168, viewport height 871 set overlay scale to 1.02 or 1.03

Shinobi set aspect ratio to 4:3 and turn integer scale on also if needed play with overlay scale to fit gameplay area

Outrun set aspect ratio to 4:3 and turn integer scale on

Did you do the same process in each John’s overlay? I am asking this because if you did (i.e. cropping the sides and saving), you can automate it in Photoshop. You record the process once, and then tell PS to do the same thing for every image under a specific folder.

Maybe you already know this, just want to help you out if you are planning on converting lots of overlays.
