Problem installing on old acer laptop

Hello all, my first post, sorry it had to be about a problem I am having :frowning:

I am trying to install Lakka on an old Acer TravelMate 8204WLMi, no matter what I try it always hangs right after I select an option (either Run or install) I tried to modify the command, and remove the quiet option to see if I could get more information, all I get is ā€œLoading Kernelā€¦OKā€ and thatā€™s it.

Is there anyways I can find out whats going?

EDIT: I used a different program to make the bootable USB and now I can make it pass that point, but now it freezes on the ā€œmain menuā€ of the installer :frowning: I already used 3 SD cards and 1 USB stick, same results, any ideas?

Thanks

Try to access Lakka with command line interface to get some information.

dmesg
lspci -nn | grep VGA

Thanks, unfortunately as soon as I get to the command line, the computer hangs as well :frowning: guess I will have to run the Windows version of retroarch

Can you try to add boot arguments debugging nosplash acpi=off to the cmdline (Press Tab at boot menu to add boot arguments) ?
