PVM or BVM, 15 Khz RGB BNC Setup Help

I have a PVM, I have a PC (clearly) I’ve heard that in Windows the Arcade VGA is the most straight forward video card to go with. And then I’m suppose to get VGA to BNC cables to hook it up. But in Windows you use some software to output the 15Khz for the monitor.

How do I make this setup work in Lakka? How do I tell the computer to output the 15Khz?

I’d prefer to use my PC but if it doesn’t work, I’ll use my Wii instead.

If Lakka is running under X, you can use xrandr to assign custom modelines, no arcadeVGA needed. If it’s running via KMS, you’d need to use a custom EDID, which I don’t think is actually possible with Lakka’s read-only filesystem.

If you need more flexibility, you can install RetroArch in a more complete distro rather than using Lakka, which is focused on being an easy, turnkey appliance.

Whichever way you slice it, using the Wii port is much easier and cheaper than coaxing your PC into playing nicely with a 15 khz display, and I recommend sticking with it if you can handle its limitations.
