Question about NTSC shaders

I see them labeled as either composite or s-video. Is there any way to get an RGB type NTSC singal with these shaders or must I use the CPU filter?

Yeah, there’s no RGB preset for the shader.

What effect are you going for, though? The RGB preset really doesn’t do very much, despite its obvious popularity.

Just want a clean believable look. Crt by itself is not bad, I just wanted to test it against an RGB. Very little difference in the end though after using some of the cpu filters. thanks

NTSC is YUV, you can’t have YUV and RGB, they are antagonist concepts.

I believe the ‘RGB’ is referring to an RGB connection (i.e., SCART or similar). NTSC indeed uses YUV, but your monitor doesn’t, so everything gets converted back to RGB at the end of the shader, anyway, after the calculations take place in YUV colorspace.
