Raspberry pi 3 Switch between DSI Display and HDMI

Hello Ladys and Gentlemen

I have a question about the “Monitor Index” option in Lakka. I have build a “Low Cost Nintendo Switch” with a Raspberry pi 3 and the original 7 " Display of the Pi Foundation and want to connect it to my HDMI TV. But i only get Audio via the HDMI Port with the Monitor Index option. The Games are still running on the 7 " Display but my TV is still black.

I want to choose between the 2 Screens without unplug the Display. The small Display for Playing anywhere and the HDMI TV for Playing at home.

I have tryed to install 2 OS, one for the 7" and one for the HDMI TV to deactivate the little Display and force the HDMI mode but NOOBS don’t let me install the OS 2 times.

I hope someone has a solution for my little problem and sorry for my “very good” english. I’ from Germany

Thank you and a nice evening. Chris

Hey! I already doing too Nintendo Switch clone, so probably I know a answer for your question! Definitely, look those pages:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=12332#p952362 By some mix of this scripts, you can make to add “ignore_lcd=1” to config.txt after HDMI is plugged and reboot device, and vice-versa

Hello gamelaster!

I’ve tryed the script from your link: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/1946/hdmi-not-working-on-tv-when-hooked-to-official-7-pi-screen/7 but it don’t works or i don’t understand how to do. It is very difficult for my to understand it because i’m german and i think that’s the problem. The first step is easy, copy config.txt and name it config_hdmi.txt and config_lcd.txt but the second step with the initDisplay.sh file don’t works or i make mistakes, i don’t know. But thx for your post. I try the other links later.

Greetings, Chris
