Really poor menu performance on PC on XMB menu driver

I am running lakka on an old netbook. it is an atom n550 core ASUS netbook. with GMA 3150 drivers. I am getting EXTREMELY poor menu fps. litterally stuck around 1.4 fps.

Does anyone know a way to fix this? I am on the latest “get lakka” build. so i am guessing stable build.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have searched google for hours, and can’t find anything on this.

It is smooth and fast on Rgui and glui.

The reason i ask, is because ive seen youtube videos with a similar netbook that ran it just fine.

e.g.

You could try updating to a nightly build to see if that helps, otherwise, I would just stick to RGUI (I mostly use it, anyway).

Just wanted to update. I went into MENU under XBM driver, and disabled the ribbon. All is smooth as can be now! not sure the frame rate, but it is fast and responsive.

Ah, that’s good to know! Thanks for posting your solution.

I was receiving 66 fps in the menu after this change. I’m thinking the ribbon should be disabled by default. OR have it an option on initial pc install just like ssh is.
