I am trying to play “Jim Power” for SNES, and the USA version gives me the error that the game is only available for USA regions. Is there a way to get around this?
I have tried PAL versions of the ROM but then the game runs slow and jittery @ 50hz.
Region-locking shouldn’t matter, it’s probably a speedhack bumping into anti-piracy protections. Which core are you using?

I Tried two versions of the USA Rom. One gives a black screen, the other a region error.
Have you tried the non-Next Snes9x?
No- when I select “Select Core” the only SNES core it lists the Snes9x Next.
Hmm. I just tried it in snes9x-next and catsfc and it was fine in both. there must be something up on your end.
for reference, the md5 sum of my ROM is: 15cfcc91489c344d82afe791a3f17261
I concur with hunterk. I have the same checksum, and the game works just fine for me as well… it’s gotta be your rom or something else you’re doing wrong.
Tested with that particular ROM (mine had a different checksum) and it worked \o/
