Remapping controller buttons for NES USB controller

I’ve got an NES USB controller. Lakka recognizes it and it works, but the A and B buttons are swapped and I need to reverse them. How can I do this? I tried poking through the documentation, but didn’t find anything specific to this. I only found joypad auto configuration.

Thanks in advance :).

You can change your input mapping in settings > input > player 1 binds. You can also do it on a core-by-core basis using the “controls” menu from the quick menu.

Ok, it looks live I was poking around the right area (the input area). But I was unsure about blindly making changes. Got it working :). But I’m not finding a “controls” menu in the quick menu (that is the first menu you are at when Lakka boots up, right?). I’d rather go the core-by-core basis as you mentioned. So having said that, once I get that part figured out, how can I set the inputs back to their defaults? Or are they mapped to only that particular NES USB controller and I won’t have to worry about it?

The ‘controls’ menu is in the menu that comes up while you’re in-game; the same one core options and shaders, etc.

The changes should get overridden by any autoconfigs but if it’s a problem, just go back in and change them back.
