Retroarch crashes when I try to use any shader

I’ve never used RetroArch before (just found out about it today, as I haven’t needed a SNES emu for years til now and my ZSNES installation seemed to be broken!), so I can’t say I know what I’m doing, but I’ve been googling around for half an hour and nobody else seems to have this problem.

I’ve tried both the current 64-bit and 32-bit versions from here: http://themaister.net/retroarch.html and they both have this problem.

Also maybe it would be a good idea to allow .txt or .cfg extensions on here?

By the way, the reason I was trying to set a filter is that by default it’s using bilinear, which I have no idea how to turn off (changing Default Filter from Linear to Nearest, like in the screenshot, seems to have no effect), so I was trying to apply hq2x to see if it did anything. Am I just looking in the wrong place or something? Personally I can’t stand bilinear and I have no idea why it’s default in so many things, but nearest neighbor or hqnx would be lovely…

EDIT - I feel like an idiot now, since apparently it DID change it to nearest neighbor, but only while playing a game, and not in the menu!! I still don’t think it’s meant to crash, though…

Hmm. That definitely shouldn’t be crashing on shaders. I would recommend waiting for a couple of days until the new release and then see if it still misbehaves.

If your are using D3D9 try switching to OpenGL or viceversa.
