Thank you for the support! If there is anything else on my end that I can do to help debugging this issue. just let me know.
Hey hunterk now that you are looking into wii version, could you please do the same with the gamecube build?Man, that core have been around since like two versions before but I cannot play with it yet.The same case with tyrquake core
k, we can try. I can’t promise any results, but I’ll make sure it gets looked at once the console betas get top priority (i.e., after win/lin/mac and mobile betas are out the door). ToadKing just got a USB Gecko, so he should be better able to debug Wii/GCN issues than in the past.
Can you please answer what I posted?
There’s not really anything else to say. The virtual L button on the retropad toggles 2- and 6-button modes. You can map that virtual button to any physical button you want in recent builds.
How??
Like I’m mainly using my SNES Controller with the Adapter
I want to Map the L2 button to the Z and Start…Like a combo button
Oh, I see what you’re asking now. There’s a hotkey option you can enable in the cfg (at least on PC), but I’ve never used it and I don’t even know if it’s supported on Wii–perhaps someone else could chime in if they can confirm whether it works or not. It functions like a shift key, so you could map, say, ‘select’ as the hotkey, then select+L for L2, select+R for menu, etc.
But this is for the GameCube not the Wii
There’s no Classic Controller on the GameCube
Can you guys add that in all the Cores Combo Config
I don’t even use the GameCube Controller on many 8 and 16-bit Emulators, only my Digital Controllers
On your next update
No point on making it a combination, I’ll make a 2 and a 6 pad controller via the controllers interface as with other cores
In the next update
make it work with the Sharkboard with the Adapter in P3 or P4
a bit demanding don’t you think?
I was on my 3DS when I typed it
I ment was I would like to request a Keyboard Config input for it, It will be eazy to Config in the input all the keys
I’m not home right now to see it, I hope you know what I’m talking about
I hope I’m posting this in the right place, but I noticed that if you set the resolution to 512x240p for any of the NES cores, you get the wavy scaling problems. I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but it worked prior to 1.0.0.2 since technically it’s the ‘correct’ resolution. I am in fact using 1.0.0.2 btw. Thanks for your hard work guys!
Set ‘crop overscan’ off.
I tried setting ‘crop overscan’ off, but it doesn’t make a difference. Does that option even work with the 240p resolutions?
Yes, when you use crop overscan the output image of NES cores change from 256x240 to 240x224; then using 512x240p would cause the wavy effect and uneven lines.
Did you restart/reload RA?

That’s embarrassing…I restarted the game but never restarted retroarch so crop overscan was still technically on. Thanks!
Here’s another issue, althought I don’t know if this has been reported before or not.
Whenever you try to save the configurations of a certain core, RetroArch doesn’t update the file correctly. Let’s say I open up RA normally, save a default config, which should be retroarch-wii.cfg (or something similar) Then I load a core, change some settings for that core, then try to save it and it says it saved as retroarch-wii.cfg, it doesn’t change the name according to the core.
Something similar happens when I switch cores, the config file is not saved with the proper core name and it rewrites the previous conf for another core.
