Retrolink N64 Controller Not Working In Game

Hi all, Im new to the scene and inherited a box of small atom powered computer which iv installed the latest build of Lakka onto.

The problem im getting is when I plug the USB N64 controller in it works in the Lakka menus but when I run a game none of the buttons work. Any ideas?
