Run from Live USB - 2nd partition

Could someone explain to me what Lakka needs to see in the 2nd data partition so that it will not ‘expand’ it when it first boots. When you first run the Live version, it expands the 2nd partition to take up the whole of the USB drive. I want to create the 2nd partition from scratch (with UUID) and I don’t want it expanded. Can the 2nd partition be formatted as ext/fat32/NTFS? What does it need to contain to be seen. I will obviously specify the correct UUID for it. Thanks!

Thanks - the volume name has to be ‘storage’ - that’s what I was missing!
