S905 MXQ pro 4k issue with 2.1 final

HI there. I’ve been stumped by this issue, and wonder what could be failing… I’ve been running many 2.0/ 2.1 RC’s successfully on my box, and decided to upgrade to 2.1 final. (full fresh install) I Installed the image using the LibreElec USB-SD creator tool as usual, replaced the DTB with a working version from the date of the release, and managed managed to boot/resize/reboot as expected without any issues (network and peripherals all work as expected with this (201) dtb)

What happens after that is the weird part… any reboot after that just hangs on the AMlogic logo. I tried with various other dtb images (earlier, later) but the whole card refuses to boot. I preformed the same thing several times with other cards as well, so it’s not likely to be card related. As there is no boot, there’s not even network or anything to check.

Does anybody have any ideas what to check ?

Hi, sounds interresting. It might be that I’ve got the same box, but I didn’t get Lakka to running at all (later I bought a NexBox A5 but, this box is still waiting for me). Please could you post once again the link to the dtb, as well as the Lakka image you’ve used? I would test it then with my box. Just curious about the result.

Hi Raaki,

No problem to link to the used files:

In the past I used

http://le.builds.lakka.tv/S905.arm/Lakka-S905.arm-2.1-rc4.img.gz with (I think, not sure anymore) https://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/8.0/device_trees/S905/gxbb_p201.dtb

and http://le.builds.lakka.tv/S905.arm/Lakka-S905.arm-2.1.img.gz with https://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/8.2/device_trees/S905/gxbb_p201.dtb

Copied to USB/SD with https://libreelec.tv/2016/08/usb-sd-creator/

(In one box in the past I had to boot from USB, as it didn’t want to boot from SD)

Best of luck

Not Lakka related issue and we are not here to support every random box that doesnt boot.
