Saves disappear if using custom save directory? (Odroid-XU4)

Hi! So, I finally got my Odroid-XU4, and set Lakka up on it. But - I’m having a problem with PS1 saves. They seem to disappear - I’ll save my game, close the core or even just reset the game, and if I start the game up again, the save file is no longer there. I am using a custom directory for save files, might this be the problem? For the record, I never had this problem with Mednafen-PSX on x64.

After some testing, it happens on Gameboy Color too, but only if I fully close the core (no problem if I just restart the game). Changing the directory back to the default one fixes the problem for both systems, so it would seem to be an issue with just handling custom directories correctly. Is there any workaround for this though? I also notice that if “Per Core Configuration” is enabled, PCSX-Rearmed always changes the save directory to <Content Dir>. It’s annoying because I have Lakka set up on an eMMC, meaning that if I want to transfer files I either have to use SSH (slow, and inconvenient since the router is on the other end of the house from where I use the Odroid) or change to booting from the MicroSD (where I have Ubuntu installed).

EDIT: Also, for the record, I can confirm the crash when changing PSX disc (without cycling disc status first) that I experienced on x64 with Mednafen-PSX, happens with PSCX-Rearmed too; so it’s probably a RetroArch or Lakka bug rather than a bug in either core. (I did see the sticky about reporting on GitHub, but I’m not sure whether these are Lakka-specific or general RetroArch problems. Although, how much would it matter if I were to report it under the wrong one?)
