ScummVM on Lakka 2.1 is it working?

Hi, I made a fresh install of Lakka 2.1 on my RPi3 and everything works fine except from ScummVM, I can load the core but even starting it without any game just restarts.

Anyone have any luck with this core ? Any trick or suggestion ?

Is the only one I’m missing… thanks.

Hi,

You did follow this documentation ?

Thank you.

Yeah I did but even starting the Core without games doesn’t work. So those steps do not help. Anyway I used those to create my .scummvm files, it’s just that I can’t even get there.

There is maybe an issue with ScummVM core on RPi ? Can you try to make test with our nightly builds ?

I’m on the latest nightly build (2018-05-11) on a Raspberry pi 3 b+ and SCUMMVM works (after following the guide at https://github.com/RobLoach/libretro-database-scummvm, just the usage part).

The only problem I’m having, and I’m not even sure if it is a bug or just a feature not yet implemented, is that no icon is showing up: I have just a black square where the logo of SCUMMVM shoud be and the same thing in the games list. Funny thing is when I go in the information of the game itself (ex. The Secret of Monkey Island) I have all the art and the information.

UPDATE SOLVED

It wasn’t a problem of retroarch/lakka but of the icon pack (Flat UI) that doesn’t have icons for SCUMMVM, changing it to default (monochrome) fixed it.

Thanks, didn’t thought/try the nightly… will give a try. Thanks ! Hope Lakka 2.2 is out soon with RA 1.7.3 or better… so many new cool things…

Just noticed this thread - I don’t use Lakka myself, but I thought I should mention that shiny new documentation for the ScummVM core is available here: https://docs.libretro.com/library/scummvm/

(You’ll need a very recent version of the core to make use of the FluidSynth stuff, though… I don’t know what version is available in Lakka…)

Also, I just (today) fixed a serious bug in the core - it might be worth holding off on using the core until this fix filters through to a future Lakka version…

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

We are using commit from April 18th so we should try to update it.

Oh yes, you’re missing lots of good stuff with that old version!

You should probably wait until PR #112 is merged, though - it contains a (safe) performance hack that should be ideal for the Raspberry Pi (and other single board devices).

Back to the original question. ScummVM is working absolutly fine on 2.1 on an RPi. I had problems first too but that was because the rules to start games changed from 2.0 to 2.1. If you stick to the new docs, no problems here.
